2015 Art Exhibition - The Art of Selling!

On a sunny spring weekend in September Bridgewater Lake held their annual art exhibition with over 200 original paintings on display and for sale. Over 90 people attended the launch event which was formally opened by Councilor Drew Jessop from the City of Hume. The mood over the whole weekend was vibrant with many artist, residents and guests in attendance enjoying the outstanding Art.

Artists from Craigieburn Art group, Sunbury Art Society, Plenty Valley Art Group, Hume U3A, Selwyn House and Mt Ridley College had their stunning works on display, and a record 23 paintings were sold.

The Best Painting award presented by Sarah Warner, Art Teacher at Kolbe College was awarded to Artist Keri Adcock. The Highly Commended award went to Artist Diane Chudmack and the Editors Choice award presented by Leader Newspaper’s Liam McAleer, was awarded to Betty Mahar.

Guests also enjoyed our famous home made scones made and served by residents in our beautifully decorated cafe.

The feedback from the weekend was overwhelming, with visitors commenting on the high quality art work, the variety and mediums presented and the overall professional presentation of the event.

In perfect weather conditions we were able to showcase Bridgewater Lake’s facilities, gardens and display homes. Our friendly residents welcomed guests across the weekend.

We would like to thank all our residents and volunteers who helped make this weekend a success.
